KIEV, February 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s armed forces “have been and will be outside politics”, Colonel Aleksandr Motuzyanik, acting head of the press service of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“The armed forces are outside politics. Their role is defined by Ukraine’s constitution,” he noted. “Units of the armed forces now function as usual,” he said.

He pointed out that “the overwhelming majority of the armed forces personnel support the actions of the Ukrainian president.
