Backup plane flies Russian passengers to homeland from Dubai

PERM, February 18. /ITAR-TASS/. A backup plane of Ural Airlines has landed in the Bolshoye Savino airport bringing passengers from Dubai who found themselves stranded after a catering service car rammed their plane.

The flight en route Dubai-Perm arrived at Bolshoye Savino at 03:10, local time (01:10, Moscow time), on Tuesday. The plane that sustained damage in the incident should have flown from Dubai at 13:40, local time, on Monday, and landed in Perm at around 00:30, local (22:30, Moscow time).

On February 17, a catering service car collided with the Russian plane as it was being readied for the flight. A female flight attendant who was standing near an exterior door fell down and was taken to a local hospital. Doctors said she was in the condition of moderate severity.

"An inspection of the plane after the collision found that its tail section sustained considerable damage," the press service of Ural Airlines said.
