GENEVA, February 17. /ITAR-TASS/. A hijacker of an Ethiopian Airlines plane en route from Addis Ababa to Rome has been arrested, Geneva police spokesman Jean-Philippe Brandt told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The plane was forced to land in Geneva after being hijacked.
Brandt said there was one hijacker, not a group.
The police spokesman did not answer how many people were onboard the hijacked Boeing 767.
“The airport has been temporarily closed. The police operation is underway,” Brandt said.
