MOSCOW, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his condolences to President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika over Tuesday’s military transport plane crash that claimed numerous lives, the Kremlin press service said.

A military cargo plane has crashed in Eastern Algeria, killing 103 people, local Ennahar TV reported on Tuesday.

The TV channel added that communication with the crew was lost in the area of ​​Djebel Fortas between the cities of Constantine and Oum El Bouaghi . Ambulances are heading to the crash site.

According to preliminary data, the crash was caused by bad weather conditions.

Al-Arabiya specified that there were 135 people on board.

Ennahar TV later reported that there is one survivor in a severe condition with serious head and chest injuries.
