Ukraine opposition admits it has difficulties in controlling radical forces

KIEV, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. It is getting increasingly difficult for the Ukrainian opposition to control radically minded protesters on Kiev’s Independence Square, Andrei Pavlovsky from the opposition Batkivshchina Party told a news conference on Monday.

“I am saying frankly as an opposition politician that people in Maidan (or Independence Square) are much more radical than the parliamentary opposition,” the parliamentarian said.

“It is getting increasingly difficult for the opposition to restrain people in Maidan who want radical moves, they want quick decisions,” he said. Pavlovsky said the events could “get fully out of control”, if the opposition and the authorities continued marking time at talks.
