GENEVA, January 27. /ITAR-TASS/. There is no progress in giving the humanitarian convoy access to Homs, a spokesman of the National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces (NCORF), Monzer Akbik, said.

“Trucks are ready, but they have not been allowed the entry yet,” Akbik said, adding “First, the humanitarian convoy should enter the city and then women and children should live it.”

“People should be provided humanitarian aid in the city itself,” the spokesman said.

On Sunday, January 26, Syrian First Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said the government “is ready to allow any humanitarian convoy to enter the city in coordination with U.N. representatives in Syria”.

“The key task is that the convoy was not fallen into the hands of terrorists,” Mekdad said.
