Brahimi to meet opposition, government before inter-Syrian talks

U.N./LAS Special Envoy for Syria may make a statement for the press in the presence of the delegations
GENEVA, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. U.N./LAS Special Envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi will have a new separate meeting with the delegations of the opposition and the government before the inter-Syrian talks start in Geneva, a well-informed diplomatic source told Itar-Tass.
The inter-Syrian talks are expected to start at 11:00 local time (10:00 GMT), the source said.
Brahimi may make a statement for the press in the presence of the delegations, the sources said.
Then the government and the opposition will hold talks in different rooms through a mediator, they added.
