MONTREUX, January 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged the Syrian parties to deliver humanitarian aid to the Syrian population that was hit by the conflict.
Speaking at the Geneva II Peace Conference on Syria currently underway in Montreux, Wang Yi said, “We urge all parties in Syria to comply with the resolutions of the U.N. Security Council, i.e. to cooperate with the U.N. to deliver humanitarian aid and make its supplies secure and unimpeded.”
At the same time, the Chinese minister said, “We come against politicizing and militarizing humanitarian aid supplies.”
China continues providing funding to rendering humanitarian assistance to Syrians, Wang Yi said.
