70 people killed in fights between governmental troops and rebels in Nigeria

According to local media reports on Tuesday, the case in hand is the elimination of a terrorist squad that attacked army barracks in the city of Bama in the north of the country last Friday.
The attack was carried out by militants of Boko Haram group that aims to create a theocratic state based on Sharia laws in the North of Nigeria. According to a representative of the armed forces, about 50 terrorists that were trying to flee by crossing the border to neighboring Cameroon have been eliminated. In a fierce fighting, 15 servicemen and 5 civilians have also passed away.
In recent months, the armed forces managed to defeat Boko Haram bases in Maiduguri and in the northern areas on the shores of Lake Chad. However, the terrorists sporadically make attacks in separate groups.
