Yanukovich: Ukraine will pull out of political crisis without outer interference
The crisis in Ukraine is an exclusively domestic problem, he added
KIEV, December 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Political crisis in Ukraine has not been eliminated so far, President Viktor Yanukovich said Thursday in an interview with Ukrainian mass media.
“Everyone should draw conclusions from this political crisis - the government, the opposition and civic society likewise,” Yanukovich said. “We must take account of the errors we have made.”
The crisis in Ukraine is an exclusively domestic problem, he said adding that he was opposed any foreign interference in it.
“I’m strongly opposed to anyone coming here and teaching us how we should live,” Yanukovich said. “We have enough wisdom, political will and responsibility in the face of future generations.”
He stressed the important of “learning to come to terms inside the country and defending our interests.”
“Unfortunately, we are still short of responsibility and political maturity,” Yanukovich said. “And yet there’s no humiliating oneself to the point where someone rushes elsewhere to get a master who might cherish Ukraine’s interests.”
“Our national interests stand on top of everything else and we shouldn’t forget about it,” Yanukovich said.
