BANGKOK, December 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Several hundreds of protesters surrounded the building of Thailand’s National Police in Bangkok on Wednesday. The protesters demand that law enforcers punish those guilty in death of students that backed the opposition.

“This time we will not go away. Time has come to make a reply,” the protesters yell. Since the beginning of mass rallies on the streets of Bangkok that last already for 40 days, five people died and some 200 were wounded. Pro-opposition students died November 30 in Bangkok as a result of clashes with pro-government protesters, which were triggered by the victims themselves.

Additional security forces concentrate near the police headquarters. The current of traffic in this district located close to Bangkok’s biggest shopping malls has been totally paralyzed.

The oppositionists announced a mass anti-governmental rally on December 22. Street marches are expected to be held in Bangkok December 19 and 20. The protesters call for an immediate resignation of Yingluck Shinawatra’s Cabinet and transfer of power to the appointive Public Counsel that will carry out a reform of Thailand’s political system.
