67-year-old Kim Kyong Hui was wife of the former “number two man” in North Korea — Deputy Chairman of the State Defense Committee Jang Song-Thaek. He was executed December 13 by the verdict of a special military tribunal that found him guilty of treason.

According to media reports, after Jang Song-Thaek’s execution his widow appeared in the list of participants of official events. It is believed to be indicative that she retains her high position of a member of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea. At the same time, according to NHK, lately there have been reports that Kim Kyong Hui’s health was worsening.
