PYONGYANG, December 13, 2:26 /ITAR-TASS/. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s uncle Jang Song Thaek has been executed under the sentence of the military tribunal, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports.
Jang Song Thaek was earlier vice chairman of the National Defence Commission, the country’s top military body. He was accused of corruption, counterrevolutionary and anti-party activity. Earlier, the 67-year-old uncle of the North Korean leader seen as one of the most influential persons in the political hierarchy of North Korea, was removed from all posts, expelled from the party and stripped of all awards.
