KIEV, December 10. /ITAR-TASS /. Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovich pledged to help release the rally participants that have been arrested in connection with mass unrest during protest manifestations in Kiev November 30 and December 1. This said Ukraine’s ex-president Leonid Kravchuk to ‘112’ TV broadcaster.

“Such an agreement has been reached during today’s meeting of four presidents,” Kravchuk said.

Kravchuk met in the first half of the day with Yanukovich, as well as with ex-leaders Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko.

Viktor Yanukovich demanded to “give a fair assessment of the offenses”, which took place during the protests on Independence Square in Kiev.

The current Ukrainian leader added that the culprits from both sides must incur the responsibility for these offenses. He pledged that everyone guilty of delinquencies on Independence Square would be put to justice. The president added that the searching of delinquents was currently underway.

During the mass rallies in Kiev on 30 November and December 1 about 15 people were detained.
