The Arak facility’s inspection has become the first practical step towards removing concerns over the Iranian nuclear program

VIENNA, December 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) received full access to the Iranian heavy water production plant in Arak during an inspection on December 8-9, a source close to the IAEA has told Itar-Tass. According to him, “the experts have already returned from Arak, the inspection passed normally, they were admitted everywhere.” “Iran has displayed total transparency,” he said.

The Arak facility’s inspection has become the first practical step towards removing concerns over the Iranian nuclear program. The IAEA has more than 10 outstanding questions to the Iranian nuclear program.

In early November, the sides compiled a list of six points on which they will work within the next three months. Experts believe that a second package of safeguards measures might be agreed upon at the Iran-IAEA negotiations in Vienna on Wednesday.
