Over 100 protesters meet at Ukraine government building

The Ukrainian government should hold its regular meeting on Wednesday

KIEV, December 04. /ITAR-TASS/. More than 100 demonstrators have lined up at the Ukrainian government building, where the government should hold a regular meeting on Wednesday. The metallic barrier is placed at the entrance, the chain of policemen have lined up behind it. The protesters do not take any active actions yet.

On Tuesday, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, did not pass the no confidence motion to the government submitted by the opposition leaders and now this issue cannot be put up for debates of Ukrainian parliament until the next parliamentary session, that is to say until February.

After abortive attempts to make Nikolai Azarov’s Cabinet step down through the parliament the opposition stated about its intention to keep blocking the government building and other governmental buildings. About 30 activists are seeking to hamper the employees go to the office on Wednesday morning in Sadovaya Street, where the staff of the government and the Verkhovna Rada are located. A police patrol is on duty at the entrance to the building.

At the same time the work of the employees, who are in charge of Kiev life-supporting facilities, was not brought back on the normal track in the building housing the Kiev city authorities, which was captured by the demonstrators last Sunday, December 1.
