BISHKEK, December 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev has ordered police to take tough actions to prevent instability of the social-political situation in any given region or the country in general, following riots in the southern Oshskaya region on Monday, the government press service told Itar-Tass.

December 2, supporters of former parliament speaker Akhmatbek Keldibekov held a rally in the regional center of Osh and tried to seize the building of the local administration. Police held the crowed back. Nine officers were injured in the clash with the protesters, the press service said.

"During the meeting with the police officials, Satybaldyev noted that the attempt to seize the administrative building was illegal causing city residents' concern as it disrupted the operation or trade outlets, public transport and other public facilities. The prime minister said all the attempted by persons with destructive ideas to rock the situation in provinces should be stopped while culprits must be held responsible," according to the press service.

Satubaldyev had warned mayor of the regional center Osh Melis Myrzakmatov about the inadmissibility of "exceeding his authority" and demanded strict fulfillment of his duties. During the rally in Osh, the mayor urged the regional police guarding the building "to remember Talas and what people did to the interior minister then."

In April 2010, several thousand protesters in Talas, a regional center, beat up special task force police, including Interior Minister Moldomus Kongantiyev.
