UNITED NATIONS, November 29, 5:19 /ITAR-TASS/. The UN Security Council issued a statement on Thursday, most strongly condemning the mortar shelling of the Russian Embassy in Damascus, equating it to a terrorist act.

The Council members expressed condolences to the families of victims and sympathy for those who suffered as a result of the terrible terrorist act, pointed out the UNSC statement for the press.
