Moldovan foreign minister initials agreement on Moldova’s association with EU

Moldovan Deputy Economics Minister Oktavian Kalmyk initialed that part of the association agreement which concerns Moldova’s entrance into the EU free trade zone

CHISINAU, November 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Moldovan Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman on Thursday initialed an agreement on Moldova’s association with the European Union in Vilnius. The document consists of 900 pages, Moldovan television channels reported from the Lithuanian capital.

In the meantime, Moldovan Deputy Economics Minister Oktavian Kalmyk initialed that part of the association agreement which concerns Moldova’s entrance into the EU free trade zone.

Earlier on Thursday it was reported that Georgia has technically initialed an association agreement with the European Union at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.

The technical initialing was carried out by Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, who had been leading his country’s delegation to the talks with the EU over the past three years.
