A statement by the North Korean Foreign Ministry dubbed the resolution as politically motivated and based on “lie and falsifications”

PYONGYANG, November 21, 5:18 /ITAR-TASS/. North Korea has rejected the resolution on its human rights situation, approved by the UN General Assembly Third Commission and condemning systematic and grave violations of human rights in the country.

A statement by the North Korean Foreign Ministry dubbed the resolution as politically motivated and based on “lie and falsifications” as well as “expressing the interests of the forces hostile towards the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea”.

The United States and its allies yearly approve such resolutions “with an aim to damage the sovereignty of the DPRK, demonstrating a policy of double standards in the sphere of human rights,” the document said.

It also said that Pyongyang was “resolute to frustrate all plots by hostile forces and continue the construction of a prosperous socialist state”.
