BANGKOK, November 17, /ITAR-TASS/. Two women tourists from Russia are undergoing treatment at the hospital with bone fractures after a road accident involving a bus, which was trafficking 43 Russian citizens in Thailand, Southeast Asia, the Russian Embassy in Thailand told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

According to the Russian diplomatic mission, the road accident occurred on Sunday with the bus operated by the tourism company Sayama Travel, which was carrying foreign tourists, on a trip to Samet Island from the sea resort Pattaya. The bus capsized in Rayong Province, where the island is situated.

“It has been raining since Sunday morning. The road was slippery. Finally, the bus skidded off the road. The police are investigating the reasons for the road accident,” Russian Consul Andrei Dvornikov said.

“The bus was carrying 43 Russians, including three children. Thirty people were taken to different hospitals with slight injuries and were checked out from the hospitals after medical aid to them. Only two Russian women aged 24 and 69 years are undergoing treatment with bone fractures. Most likely, they will also be discharged from the hospital soon,” Dvornikov said.
