Generator explosion causes fire outbreak in Berkeley

Several people received minor injuries, according to eyewitnesses

LOS ANGELES, October 1. (ITAR-TASS). – An emergency evacuation of students was carried out on Monday after an explosion of a power generator in one of the buildings of the University of California at Berkeley. According to the university’s representatives, one or more generators blew up for unknown reasons, it caused power outage and the fire broke out.

Eyewitnesses say several people received minor injuries. Firefighting crews and police officers are working at the site of the incident.
