BERLIN, September 23 (Itar-Tass) - The conservative bloc consisting of the Christian Democratic Union and the Christian Social Union (CDU-CSU) scored a convincing win in the general parliamentary elections in Germany this past Sunday.

According to preliminary data issued here on Monday, the CDU-CSU polled 41.5 percent of the vote.
