UNITED NATIONS, March 29 (Itar-Tass) - The UN Security Council passed a resolution on Thursday, sanctioning the deployment of a military contingent in the Democratic Republic of Congo to fight militants operating in the country's east.

The resolution was adopted by a unanimous decision of the UNSC's 15 member-countries, including Russia.
