TEHRAN, November 6. /TASS/. Yet another, the 16th, US MQ-1 reconnaissance and attack drone has been taken down over the Iranian island of Qeshm, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian army) said.

"Several minutes ago, the 16th American MQ-1 drone was intercepted and destroyed over the Qeshm island by the IRGC’s advanced air defense system integrated into the country’s unified air defense grid," it said.

A series of failed enemy reconnaissance missions "cast a shadow over Brad Cooper's (US CENTCOM commander - TASS) command," while IRGC fighters constantly monitor enemy air operations and flight patterns of such drones," the IRGC said.
