NEW YORK, November 6. /TASS/. Marco Rubio, US secretary of state and national security advisor, has dismissed media reports of his plans to step down to prepare a presidential bid in the next election.

In an interview with The New York Times, Rubio said he had always intended to work for President Donald Trump until the end of his term.

"I love the work I’m doing," Rubio said. "And plus, I always laugh when they say he’s going to leave his job. I go, ‘Which one?’" he added.

Responding to the reports that he was mulling an exit, Rubio said, "I don’t know where these things come from, to be honest with you."
