The United States has not provided direct financial assistance to Ukraine since late 2024

MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky claims that Ukraine has "fallen short" of receiving $16 billion in promised aid from the United States and that Kiev "needs to fight" for the funds.

"Under previous agreements and decisions, $16 billion was halted and not disbursed. Be that as it may, we are grateful for everything that has been provided, but Ukraine must fight for at least this money," he said in an interview with the TSN television channel, adding that he also intends to "work" on securing a new aid package from Washington.

The United States has not provided direct financial assistance to Ukraine since late 2024. Kiev continues to insist that Western countries increase their military aid deliveries. Moscow has repeatedly stressed that Western arms supplies to Kiev and assistance with training Ukrainian military personnel only prolong the conflict and do not change the situation on the battlefield.
