Tucker Carlson says Iran conflict has bankrupted United States
According to the journalist, because of the war with Iran and involvement in other conflicts in the Middle East, the US was forced to "borrow trillions of dollars"
NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. American journalist Tucker Carlson said the conflict over Iran has bankrupted the US and brought an end to the American empire.
"The United States has gone bankrupt" because of the war with Iran, threatening the dollar, and many other things, Carson said in a video on YouTube.
According to Carlson, because of the war with Iran and involvement in other conflicts in the Middle East, the US was forced to "borrow trillions of dollars." Servicing that debt is currently devastating the federal budget, he added. According to Carlson, everyone knew that the Republicans were headed for "a major defeat" in the US midterm elections to Congress precisely because of the war with Iran and its consequences.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump himself acknowledged that the Republicans’ defeat in the country’s midterm elections on November 3 was largely due to the war with Iran and rising fuel prices. At the same time, he emphasized that, if necessary, he would decide to start this war again, as Iran could not be allowed to develop its own nuclear weapons. According to information published by The Hill, by mid-October, US spending on the military operation against Iran, which began on February 28, had reached approximately $47 billion.
