He pointed to numerous problems with the city’s utilities. "Let me highlight the key point raised by experts. <…> The reliable operation and even the survival of these facilities are in serious doubt," he wrote on Telegram following a city council meeting.

On Tuesday, Ukrenergo said the situation in Ukraine’s power grid had deteriorated. Klitschko reported damage to facilities at Kiev’s regional power hub, describing the city’s electricity supply situation as extremely difficult. On Wednesday, residents began blocking roads over prolonged power cuts.
