WASHINGTON, November 4. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump intends to end the war with Iran whenever he wants, but it must be "done right," the US leader told reporters while showing them the construction of the White House’s new ballroom.

"Whenever I wanted to, but it's got to be done right, and we're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon. It's got to be done right," Trump said when asked about the timeframe for ending the US-Israeli operation against Iran.

The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts. However, on the night of July 8, the United States resumed strikes on Iran, accusing it of violating the terms of the agreements concerning the Strait of Hormuz. Washington subsequently signaled an end to its use of large-scale force against Tehran and a shift toward attempts to economically strangle the country through sanctions.
