EU, UK, US meeting on Ukraine in Brussels ends without results — TASS
No any practical results were achieved in terms of a possible settlement of the conflict
BRUSSELS, November 4. /TASS/. A meeting of technical delegations from the European Commission, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ukraine, and the World Bank in Brussels ended without results in terms of a possible settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, a diplomatic source in Brussels told TASS.
"No practical results were achieved at the meeting in terms of a possible settlement of the conflict," the source said.
Meanwhile, the European Commission said in its final statement that the participants had discussed "Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction and development." As Ukraine’s largest donor, the EU has already provided 231.5 bln euros since the start of the conflict, the document said. The statement offers no indication of how the country could move from a state of armed conflict to a phase of "reconstruction." Therefore, judging by the wording of the European Commission’s statement, it is quite likely that the commission sought to secure additional funding for the Kiev government from partner countries for 2027 at the meeting.
