STOCKHOLM, November 3. /TASS/. NATO leaders are making a major mistake by assuming that deploying Western troops to Ukraine would not lead to nuclear escalation with Russia, said Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Freedom Alliance party.

"The NATO elite is confident a deployment of Western troops in Ukraine will not lead to nuclear escalation with Russia. No, no, no, this is a big mistake!" Mema wrote on X.

Russia has repeatedly opposed the presence of troops from NATO countries in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov previously said that ensuring Ukraine’s security through "foreign military intervention in any part of Ukrainian territory" would be unacceptable to Moscow.
