NEW YORK, November 3. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said he would kill large numbers of people in Iran if necessary, but was not currently seeking to do so.

"We’ll see," Trump said, asked in a Fox News interview what he would do about Iran after Tuesday’s US congressional midterm elections. "I’m not looking to kill lots of people, but if we have to, we have to. I’m not looking to do that," he added, again insisting that he does not consider the conflict with Iran a war.

"We have them totally where we want. We could finish them off or be nice and let thousands of people live that would get killed in a war," Trump added.
