MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky has ruled out telephone talks with Russia on resolving the Ukraine conflict.
"As for telephone conversations, Russia would use them as a pretext to avoid further meetings," he said at a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, broadcast on his office’s website.
Zelensky added that he did not believe telephone talks would produce any results.
He also once again rejected the idea of traveling to Moscow for negotiations. "No one would support a trip to Moscow," he said.
Earlier, when asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin would answer the phone if Zelensky called him, Kremlin Aide Yury Ushakov said Putin had never refused to speak with Zelensky.
