MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation is probing into the situation with a secret prison for forcibly mobilized individuals in the village of Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka near Kiev, the press service said on its Telegram channel.

The case was opened under the Criminal Code article concerning abuse of power or authority by a military official.

The State Bureau of Investigation said that "all circumstances around the presence of servicemen in the building where the conflict took place, as well as reports of force being used against them, will be investigated," and confirmed that "shots were fired and police vehicles were damaged" during the clashes in front of the building.

On the evening of November 2, several Ukrainian media outlets reported that armed men were holding nearly 40 individuals captive in the basement of a private residence near Kiev. An ambulance arrived at the scene, and a medical worker said she had received a video showing that some of those in the basement were in a life-threatening condition, with injuries indicative of torture. However, the armed men guarding the building refused to grant doctors access. Violent confrontations broke out near the house, and tear gas was deployed against outraged local residents who tried to force their way through the gate. It was only after the incident attracted widespread media attention that paramedics were allowed to remove four people bearing visible signs of beatings. One of them was in critical condition.

Later, police reported that the building housed members of the Ukrainian National Guard. Meanwhile, Ukrainian National Guard commander Alexander Pivnenko said the four injured men were deserters. He described the building as a "temporary deployment site" and acknowledged that conscripts were also being held there. Following mass protests near the building, the National Guard finally agreed to transfer all the detained men to a medical facility for health evaluations.
