NEW YORK, November 2. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump says the US hasn't actually done a lot of real fighting in the war with Iran.

He pointed out that the United States was not fighting at the moment and didn't actually fight for most of this war. The US hit Iran really hard a few times, and then sat back and watched, he said on the New York Post's Pod Force One podcast.

He also claimed that the United States had already succeeded twice in changing power in Iran. Trump also reiterated that Iran can not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon.

On October 8, Trump said that the United States does not intend to strike Iran before the November 3 midterm congressional elections. On Saturday, he said the negotiations with Tehran were going well, while also questioning Iran's sincerity to talk. According to the Axios portal, Trump does not intend to resume military action against Iran immediately after the midterms as he wants to stay on the diplomatic path.
