Iran’s nuclear program to remain peaceful while country stays in NPT — MFA
Esmaeil Baghaei said that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful
TEHRAN, November 2. /TASS/. Iran remains a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and is committed to complying with all its provisions, including those concerning the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.
"Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and remains so. We are still a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and as long as we remain a party, we are committed to complying with it," he told a press conference.
Baghaei pointed out it is too early to discuss resuming International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections at Iranian nuclear facilities, as the agency’s Director General Rafael Grossi must first condemn US and Israeli attacks on the country’s nuclear infrastructure.
