Trump says would run for president again if such possibility existed
He recalled that he has two more years left as president
NEW YORK, November 1. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has said that he would like to run for another term if the law allowed him to do so.
"I'd love to run again if I had the chance, but the language (of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution that limits presidents to two elected terms in office - TASS) is very exacting," Fox News quoted him as telling the New York Posts’ Pod Force One podcast.
He recalled that he has two more years left as president. "That's a long time. You can do a lot in that period of time," he added.
"By law, Trump’s second term as president is set to end in January 2029. The 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, which was adopted in 1951, limits the president to two terms in office. Nevertheless, Trump has repeatedly suggested that he may be seeking reelection for a third term.
Trump was reelected to his send time in office in November 2024. His first presidential term was from 2017 to 2021.
