MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky says that Ukraine receives an average of 12 Patriot missiles per month from the United States, but fired 35 in October alone.

"There are documents on US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s desk that he has signed. Maybe he thinks he’s signed everything, but that’s not the case. He signed off on a US package of 12 missiles. Fine. But this month I’ve fired 35. And the question concerns the 23 missiles that I obtained through other channels," the UNIAN news agency quotes Zelensky as saying.

He did not identify which countries provided the 23 missiles.

Earlier, Kiev had repeatedly reported a shortage of interceptor missiles for its air defense system. On October 15, CNN, citing sources, reported that Ukraine’s stockpile of Patriot missiles had been completely depleted. Later, Vladimir Zelensky criticized delays in the delivery of American interceptor missiles purchased with funding from European Union countries under the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism. He accused Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth of holding up the delivery of missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems by a month.
