MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. A US-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft spent nearly five hours circling the Kaliningrad Region, operating in the airspace of Lithuania and Poland, a source in air traffic control services told TASS.
"A Bombardier Artemis II reconnaissance aircraft, permanently based at an airfield in Constan·a, Romania, arrived near the Kaliningrad Region earlier today and spent nearly five hours flying in a circuit around the area," the source said.
According to the source, the aircraft operated in Polish and Lithuanian airspace, as well as over international waters in the Baltic Sea, at an altitude of approximately 12 kilometers.
The source noted that this was the second time the aircraft had circled the Russian region since the beginning of the week. The same aircraft was also spotted over international waters in the Black Sea, where it spent several hours flying back and forth between the western and eastern parts of the southern sea.
"The aircraft has now completed its mission and is heading back to its home base," the source added.
