Iran’s IRGC says it attacked four vessels in Persian Gulf
The Iranian military gave no information about the condition of the crews
TUNIS, October 22. /TASS/. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Thursday it had attacked four vessels in the Persian Gulf.
"<...> [Iranian] Navy fighter jets, while tracking and pursuing four vessels that earlier transited an illegal route, detected them in the process of oil transfers in the northern Persian Gulf where they were simultaneously hit," IRNA news agency quoted Iran’s elite military force as saying in a statement. The vessels caught fire, the Iranian military said, without giving any information about the condition of the crews.
The Iranian military also said three more ships collided with mines in the Strait of Hormuz last night. "<...> The army of the US aggressor should understand that if the trend [of illegally clearing waterways] persists, the scope of confrontation will also extend to aggressor bases in the region," the IRGC warned.
