Kallas claims US 'trying to push Ukraine into surrender' for 18 months
According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the EU diplomatic service is trying to formulate "our maximum demands" to Russia
BRUSSELS, October 20. /TASS/. European Union's top diplomat Kaja Kallas claims that the United States has been "trying to push Ukraine into surrender’" for eighteen months and that the conflict in Ukraine continues only thanks to military supplies from the EU.
"American negotiators have been trying to push Ukraine into surrender for already almost two years, one and a half years now," Kallas told a session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg as broadcast by the EP press service. "Why Ukraine hasn't surrendered? Because Europe has been supporting Ukraine."
According to her, the EU diplomatic service is trying to formulate "our maximum demands" to Russia so that the costs of the war in Ukraine will not be in vain for Brussels.
Earlier, the European Commission said that since the start of the conflict, the EU has spent over 228 billion euros on military and financial support for the Kiev regime.
