US can win back Iran’s trust only by fulfilling its seven conditions — parliament speaker
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that Iran doesn’t seek war but is fully prepared for defense
RABAT, October 20. /TASS/. Iran does not trust the United States after it violated the agreements reached, and now Washington will be able to regain that lost trust only by fulfilling the seven conditions that Tehran has set forth, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Islamic Republic’s unicameral parliament Majlis, said.
"Iran's distrust of the United States intensified after the [President Donald] Trump administration violated the Islamabad memorandum, which was signed by both sides," he said at a meeting with visiting Pakistani army commander Asim Munir, as quoted by the Mehr agency.
"The United States can earn Iran’s trust only through fulfilling the seven conditions that were previously presented to the American side," he stated.
"Iran doesn’t seek war but is fully prepared to defend the motherland and national dignity," he stressed. "No threats or military maneuvers can change the Islamic republic’s strategic decisions and it is the United States that must take steps to get out of the quagmire of war."
