WASHINGTON, October 19. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said that if Vladimir Zelensky had listened to him and agreed to a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, he would not have lost one million Ukrainians.

Reporters at the White House asked Trump to comment on Zelensky’s remarks that the US leader was on the wrong side of history. Trump did not hear the question clearly at first and asked them to repeat who had said this about him.

"Zelensky doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Zelensky is a man that should have had this war settled a long time ago. If he would have listened to me, he would have made a much better deal a long time ago, and he’d have a million people living from his side," the president replied.
