Trump denies White House involvement in restricting Kiev’s access to Starshield
When asked to clarify who was behind the restriction on access to Starshield, the US president said that there could be no disruptions at all
WASHINGTON, October 16. /TASS/. The White House denies involvement in restricting the Ukrainian military’s access to Starshield satellite communications services, US President Donald Trump stated.
"I don't know if it was anybody," the US leader told reporters in response to a question about the White House’s involvement in restricting Kiev’s access to Starshield. "It wasn’t me, and I don't think it was [SpaceX CEO] Elon [Musk]," Trump emphasized.
"From what I understand, it's the same as it's always been," he added, referring to Starshield's operations. When asked to clarify who was behind the restriction on access to Starshield, the US president said: "I don't know. I'm not sure that it ever came down. I'm pretty sure it's the same."
The day before, Reuters reported, citing sources, that the order to restrict Ukraine’s access to Starshield satellite communications came from the White House.
