Antonio Guterres urged to cease attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure immediately

UN, October 11. /TASS/. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned an attack on the international airport in the capital of Saudi Arabia, he said in a statement.

"I am deeply shocked by and strongly condemn Saturday’s lethal attack by the Houthis on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which reportedly killed 12 people and injured hundreds of civilians," the statement reads.

"Attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are a violation of international law. These attacks must cease immediately."

According to the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, at least 12 people were killed and another 309 were injured as a result of the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
