DOHA, October 10. /TASS/. A supertanker carrying oil has struck a mine in the Strait of Hormuz, the ISNA news agency reported, citing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to the Iranian military, the tanker struck a mine and exploded after turning off its positioning and navigation systems.

"A terrible fire will be the fate of every tanker that violates security requirements and ignores the rules for passage through the Strait of Hormuz," the IRGC said.
