IRGC reports strike on gas tanker in Strait of Hormuz

TUNIS, October 9. /TASS/. The naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, an elite branch of the Iranian armed forces) have reported a strike on a large vessel transporting liquefied gas that was attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

"Several hours ago, the large-capacity liquefied gas tanker MT Sunshine was struck while attempting to transit via an unauthorized route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz," reads the IRGC’s statement cited by the IRNA news agency.
