MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Two facilities at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), the laboratory building and the radioactive waste processing facility, were attacked by the Ukrainian armed forces overnight, CEO of Russia’s Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev trold reporters.
"It was not a quiet night at the Zaporozhye plant itself. Two facilities were attacked simultaneously: the laboratory building, located 200 meters from ZNPP’s fourth and fifth power units, and the radioactive waste processing facility. The roof of both buildings was damaged, but there is no threat to nuclear safety," he said.
