The US may launch new bombing campaigns against Iran after the midterm elections to Congress in November

NEW YORK, October 1. /TASS/. Ukraine has refused to buy powerful ammunition from the United States because it does not have the aircraft and other equipment needed to use it in combat, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Time magazine.

He also threatened Iran with destruction.

TASS has compiled the key statements made by the US leader.

Arms stockpiles

Over the past six months, the United States has been actively increasing its arms stockpiles: "We have a lot of weapons. You know, we've been stocking up for the last six months. [Previous US President Joe] Biden gave away massive amounts of munitions to Ukraine. Much more so than what we spent, and--but we're in great shape. And we're in great shape, but we're also now stocking up big and making--and we're keeping it. You know, we'll get it out to others, you know, our allies."

In the United States, several factories are being built to produce weapons and ammunition, including Patriot and THAAD systems: "They’re building four, five, six plants -- the Patriot plants, other plants, the THAAD plants. "They’re building all around the country. They’re building tremendous amounts of capability."

Zelensky’s refusal

Ukraine has refused to buy powerful ammunition from the United States because it does not have the aircraft and other equipment needed to use it in combat: "There is ammunition that President [Vladimir] Zelensky wouldn't take, but it's very powerful ammunition. He wouldn't take because he didn't have airplanes and things that you need for that ammunition."

The Middle East

The US may launch new bombing campaigns against Iran after the midterm elections to Congress in November: "Possible."

The media has convinced Americans that the conflict with Iran will last no more than eight weeks: "I think the press fed it to them."

The plan proposed by Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is not good enough: "They made an offer to open up the Strait. You know, you saw some aspects of it, not all. But it's just, it's just, it's not good enough. Nearly."

Iran could still be wiped off the map: "Yes, I would do that. It’s possible. With Iran, I don't think you could ever have peace."

Israel and Saudi Arabia would have been obliterated if Trump weren’t the president of the United States: "I've done a lot for Saudi Arabia. I protect Saudi Arabia. If I weren't president, Saudi Arabia wouldn't be here right now. Neither would Israel. They'd be wiped off the face of the planet."

Trump has excellent relations with the leadership of Saudi Arabia: "But remember, if I weren't here, there wouldn't be a Saudi Arabia. There wouldn't be an Israel. There wouldn't be various other countries also."

The possibility of elections in Venezuela

Elections in Venezuela will take place: "They could have elections."

It’s too early for them now: "I think it's too raw now, though."

Artificial intelligence

The term "artificial intelligence" (AI) is as fake as CNN's news: "I don't call it AI anymore. I call it SI. President Xi agreed. We all agree. Super intelligence. It's not artificial intelligence because artificial intelligence is like CNN. It's fake."
